You will take a drive to the trailhead – Challacancha, hike to Soraypampa and Umantay Mountain and finally camp in Soray. You will hike to Salkantay Mountain, have lunch and continue to Colpapampa. You have to wake up early to walk down to La Playa Sahuayaco. You will take a bus to Santa Teresa and visit the hot springs. You will continue the trek to the Hidroelectrica. Then hike past the Urubamba River to the “hydroelectric” or Hidroelectrica. You will hike to Aguas Calientes. Then, you will hike the last path to get to Machu Picchu. After this guided visit at the legendary citadel you will return to Cusco by train.
