Hike to the Asnacyacu Waterfall and Cave of Love

From the sulfur water pools we can undertake a short 15-minute walk that will take us into the thick of the forest, through narrow and beautiful paths, until we reach a circuit of natural jets and waterfalls, coming from the hill, where families and groups of friends come to bathe and relax.

 

The magical Asnacyacu waterfall, with a drop of 8 meters high and forming a natural pool of crystalline, cold waters, is ideal for bathing and reducing the heat characteristic of this area.

From Moyobamba, follow the Fernando Belaúnde Terry highway, towards Rioja, until you reach the hamlet of La Perla de Indañe, where we will take the detour to the left. We will follow a paved trail for about 15 minutes, until we reach the Oromina Sulfur Baths, with its entrance on the left side. Its total distance is 7 km from the city of Moyobamba (approximately 20 minutes by car).

 

For the more adventurous, it can be reached by bicycle or walking.
