Qoricancha is an exceptional witness of the fusion of the Inca and western cultures, being one of the most important temples of Tahuantinsuyu, its finely polished stone walls served as a foundation for the construction of the Convent of Santo Domingo. The temple, whose sumptuous walls are said to have been covered by sheets of gold and silver, was dedicated to the cult of the sun, sometimes housing images of Thunder and Wiracocha, deities brought from different regions. The cult in the interior of the temple was restricted to the highest personalities of the time and even from far away representatives of the non-Inca populations from all over the Empire arrived to render worship and tribute to the Tahuantinsuyu gods.
Built in the 16th century, it has the Baroque style with a precious altar of seven tons of silver.Cathedral of Cusco or Cathedral of the Virgin of the Assumption is the main temple of the city of Cusco, in Peru and houses the headquarters of the Diocese of Cusco. It is a masterpiece of singular structure. This construction is attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties, is located after the Temple of San Cristobal or Qolcampata, in the high part of the city. According to the chroniclers, it was a solar shrine, others attributed to a place of defense of the city; The Spaniards were the ones who gave it the name of Fortress, for the formidable of its stone constructions is an imposing example of Inca military architecture, it is located 2 km from the city of Cusco. This fort was built with large blocks of granite to protect the city from the attacks of the invaders from the East or Antis. Sacsayhuaman (in Quechua, "satisfied hawk") is formed by three large terraces superimposed in a zigzag shape and bordered by huge rock walls of up to 300 m in length. Due to its proximity and elevation compared to Cusco and the size of its stones it served as a quarry for certain buildings of colonial Cusco. It has 3 bastions superposed one on another, noting the technique of assembling the stones. In the high part, there are foundations of what were three turrets, being the most enigmatic the Muruy Marca and it is given several meanings, among them, reservoir of water, related to astronomy. It occupies a fairly large area, where we can find scattered groups of walls, aqueducts, thrones and others.
It is an immense rocky promontory carved of steps, holes and gutters, probably made to deposit the sacred inca chicha (corn drink) that was consumed in the Inca rituals. Integrates this site, a semicircular garden defined by an isometric parameter with several large niches that surround a stone or wanka of little thickness enclosed in an enclosure, is a kind of image within its own chapel.Qenqo is divided in 2 important part and we will describe it in Qenqo - travel to cusco Peru.:
The archaeological site of Tambomachay is 8 km (15 min.) Northeast of Cusco, by paved road, and 1 km from Puca Pucara. It is located on the slopes of a hill near the main road to Antisuyo, on the Tambomachay river. It is also known as the "Tambo de la Caverna" and occupies an area of square meters, located over 3,700 meters of altitude. Tambomachay apparently was the favorite manantial of the Inca, but at the same time, it was one of the pillars of the defensive system of the Cusco sacred valley. The name comes from two Quechua words: Tampu, which means collective accommodation and Mach'ay, which means resting place. However, according to other references, the word "machay" means "caverns", which would describe the peculiar environment of the place where these natural rock formations are appreciated, which according to the indigenous tradition, were the object of veneration or magical practices . Formed by a set of finely carved stone structures, aqueducts and waterfalls from springs and nearby hot springs (thought to be related to the cult of water) is one of the pillars of the Andean cosmovision. It is considered one of the shrines of the first ceque of Antisuyo. According to the chronicles, it was the preserve of Inca Yupanqui, which suggests that it was an area rich in animal species. The monument is notable for its architectural excellence. There are four terraces attached to the hill, built on the basis of irregular stone polyhedrons, masterfully assembled, and forming three parallel platforms. The stones have been perfectly fitted. It has four large niches or trapezoidal niches of two meters on average. In front of the construction there was a circular tower that had to have defense and communication purposes. Water itself was revered as the source of life. Tambomachay has an extraordinary hydraulic system. Two aqueducts artistically carved in the rock transport and maintain a constant flow of clean and clear water throughout the year, which comes from a pool that is at a higher level. This network of underground channels pours its waters into a small pool of stone at the lowest level. This pool had to be a liturgical source, where the Inca worshiped the water with the grandees of the Empire.
