Information about attractions of Combo Sacred Valley

  • CHINCHEROS: A very traditional and typical place for crafts and colorful fabrics. The main attraction is the archaeological complex and the Sunday fair where, still, the exchange of products takes place.
  • MORAY: Here we find a kind of amphitheaters, in which each of the different terraces has a different microclimate, which varies depending on the height of the crop.
  • MARAS SALT MINES: Located in the upper area of the sacred valley, we find the Salineras de Maras. For the production of salt, a river of not much flow pours its salty waters into pools, where they stagnate, later, the water evaporates little by little thanks to the heat of the sun, thus producing salt, an element so characteristic of this zone of Peru. URUBAMBA: A great place with Inca productions, which among the most primordial has corn. In addition, this city is today a beautiful countryside, with great production of fruit trees.
  • OLLANTAYTAMBO: The construction of Ollantaytambo is attributed to the Inca Ollántay and is strategically located between two mountains.
  • PISAC: A town located in the foothills of the Intihuatana hill (place where the sun is tied), has the best system of terraces worked by the Incas.
